CHALLENGE HARDNESS AND CORROSION

We solve problems relating to hardness deposits, crystallization and corrosion

The consequences of deposits and crystallization are manifold, ranging from blockages and material corrosion to machine failures, and can therefore significantly impair process efficiency. Appropriate management to prevent hardness deposits therefore makes a decisive contribution to process stability.

We understand these specific challenges and offer a comprehensive range of products to prevent or eliminate hardness deposits, crystallization, fouling and corrosion, e.g. in

closed process water circuits
 heating and cooling circuits
 wastewater and sludge treatment

Depending on your requirements, our application experts will select the most efficient product for your needs and support you with comprehensive expertise.

Causes of hardness deposits, crystallization and material corrosion

Deposits/Crystallization:
The reasons for the formation of deposits are complex and depend on various factors, but basically deposits are formed when the solubility of all the salts in the system is exceeded. In most cases, the typical hardness builders calcium and magnesium, as well as other dissolved inorganic substances in their various salt forms, are responsible.

Corrosion:
The causes of corrosion depend on many parameters, such as material properties, the chemical-physical composition of the water, but also on operating conditions like lack of maintenance, insufficient desalination including control, incorrect pipe design, used filters, excessively high temperatures, etc.
