CHALLENGE DEPOSITS FROM ANIONIC TRASH IN PULP & PAPER INDUSTRY

We solve contaminant-related problems

Contanminants, especially sticky impurities from the pulping process and from the use of secondary fibers as paper raw material, can lead to deposits in the machine circuit, negatively influence the effect of chemical additives and result in tears, holes and stains in the end product.

In particular, the use of recycled paper and coated rejects as a sensible step towards saving raw materials confronts the plant operator with increased requirements for efficient contaminant control.

We understand these specific challenges and help you with comprehensive expertise in controlling resin deposits and problems with stickies, white pitch and co.

Causes for Anionic Trash

Colloidal or colloidally dissolved anionic materials are of various types and origins (fresh water, pulp, fillers, additives), the most essential are:

Pitch (Resin deposits) consists of natural resin and comes mainly from wood pulp

Stickies (sticky contaminants) originate primarily from adhesive residues carried over from waste paper

White Pitch (Polymer deposits) comes mainly from the coating components introduced via reused scrap

Various precipitates (e.g. lime soaps, starch-fat-complexes, scale)
